The venturi scrubber is a typical wet scrubber consisting of a venturi scrubber and a dewatering scrubber (cyclone, packed or baffle). The dust removal mechanism is the combined action of inertia, adhesion and diffusion, mainly inertia.
The venturi consists of three profiled tubes (i.e. a long tube formed by a shrink tube, throat and diffuser tube) and a water spray device. The advantages of venturi dust collector are high dedusting efficiency, up to 99%, elimination of fine dust particles below 1 μ m, small equipment, less investment, fast startup, easy and reliable operation. It is not only used for dust removal, but also used for demisting, cooling, absorption, evaporation and other aspects, so it is widely used. In China, two series venturi scrubbers can be used to cool and purify the gas and meet the quality requirements of gas temperature and ash content of 10mg/m3. However, the venturi has large pressure loss and water consumption.
The venturi of blast furnace gas purification system can be divided into two types according to whether there is overflow water membrane at the throat. One is the venturi with a layer of uniform water membrane at the throat, which is generally called overflow venturi; The other type is venturi without water film at throat. It can also be divided into two types according to whether there is regulating equipment at the throat. One is that the throat is equipped with regulating device, and the adjustable throat diameter is called the regulating venturi; The other type is that the throat part has no regulating device and the throat is fixed, which is called fixed venturi. Q: Is the connector in British or Metric system? What is the difference between PT, NPT, and G threads?
A: The G thread is cylindrical and does not seal itself, requiring additional gaskets to prevent leakage. PT and NPT are conical, and the internal and external threads become tighter and tighter when tightened. Sealing is achieved through the deformation of the threads, and sealant or tape is usually used in conjunction to enhance the sealing effect
G-thread is a cylindrical straight pipe used for non sealed connections; PT thread is a conical tube that relies on the deformation and sealing of the thread itself; NPT is also a conical tube with a tooth profile angle of 60 degrees, mainly used in North America
